Health and wellness coaching is an art form–a practice of skillful means founded on an unwavering, positive regard for every client, their innate intelligence and their ability to effect change in their lives. With mindfulness and compassion, a health coach has the opportunity to cultivate a safe, supportive and non-judgmental space for exploration, self-discovery and growth in areas of life ripe for transformation. These unexplored spaces help lead us to discover our deeper values and vision about what “health” and “wellness” mean to us personally.

Exploration begins by cultivating curiosity…

A health coach has the privilege of holding the space for exploration, supporting the client in their discovery of the deeper why fueling their desire for positive growth and change. The coaching space facilitates a deep process of discerning values that support a more full expression of wellbeing in the client’s life—is that habit, once useful, no longer serving our highest expression of whole person wellness? What would greater/truer alignment with my values look like?

Through this process of exploration, we begin to feel what shifts are most important, most meaningful, to make now. When we have the space and permission to connect with the deeper why, underlying our habits, routines and lifestyle choices, we empower ourselves with the capacity to listen to our inner wisdom and determine what steps to take towards living a more aligned and alive expression of self.
